Urology is related to diagnostics and treatment for:
- Kidney diseases
- Urinary bladder diseases
- Prostate gland diseases
- Genital organs diseases, as well as to
- Taking necessary samples for laboratory and biochemical tests and researches.
Urology department within the Health Centre “Dr Ristić” performs:
- Specialized examinations of patients
- Ultrasound examinations
- Medical treatments for patients suffering from urologic problems.
The examination of a patient includes anamnesis (talking to the patient), analytic reading of the patient’s analyses results (laboratory, ultrasound, etc) previously done and brought by the patient to our health center. After this first step, the patient is examined by a specialist and if necessary, more detailed examination by ultrasound and7or X-ray is performed, followed by all necessary taking and testing of urethral, urine, sperm and blood samples for additional laboratory analyses.
Sometimes the diagnosis is set based on these initial anamnesis examinations, but more often, the complete disease diagnosis requires additional tests and examinations.
The additional examinations include ultrasound examinations of:
- kidneys,
- urinary bladder, (both for women and men)
- examinations of prostate gland, testicles and epididymes (for men)
